AstraSecret, AstraConfidential, and AstraZero encrypt content on your client before upload. New encrypted notes also protect their title with AES-256-GCM while keeping it available in your signed-in lists.

AstraSecret and AstraConfidential features
Two PIN formats, both kept by youAstraSecret uses 4–6 digits. AstraConfidential uses 4–16 case-sensitive ASCII characters. You must save the PIN; AstraNote never stores or recovers it.
Protection matched to the noteAstraSecret is simpler for everyday privacy. AstraConfidential uses stronger key derivation and is available with Plus, Pro and Ultra.
Client encrypts before uploadBoth modes encrypt the note content on your device before upload. The server receives and stores only encrypted content.
Neither mode makes a weak PIN strong. AstraSecret's short numeric PIN is easier to guess; for sensitive data, choose AstraConfidential with a unique random 12–16 character PIN and enter it only on trusted devices.

Encryption keys are generated 100% independently on your client—not requested from the server.
